staying off site with breakfast character dining

How early are you allowed into the parking area of Epcot if you are staying off site?

there are actually 2 entrances into the parking lot at epcot...
use the main one...
the "back" one never opens early...

They usually open about 60 minutes before official opening time.

You have to look for the surprise (early opening) days too. But, even though they may have early opening on that day, the parking lot doesn't open early since it is assumed the early opening is only for resort guests- who take disney transportation.
But, for those of us who are resort guests and want to drive anyway, you may not be able to do that.

So, the answer...it all depends.

I can't say an exact time but we have stayed off site several times and also used a rental cars when staying on site and have always been able to park for early morning breakfasts and prior to rope drops (we like to arrive about a half hour prior to park opening) without any problem - and we are never even close to the first cars through.
Sometimes you just have to tell them you have breakfast reservations to get through because they only have one gate open which is for dining. Are you headed to an Epcot resort area (Cape May breakfast?) or actual Epcot park?
