Staying off property. What transportation? Mears?

Hello!

I'll be staying off property at the Orange Lake Resort and they do not have transportation from the airport to their site. I was wondering, since I am a solo traveler if using the Mears Shuttle would work out the best.

I have used Mears before when ME didn't exist so I am fairly familiar with using them but I've never used them to go somewhere other than Disney.

How long do you think my wait will be at the airport before getting a shuttle to the Resort?

As I'm traveling solo, I'm sure they will have to fill up the van. I was wondering how long that will take since this is an off Disney site?

I've never used Mears when staying off-site, so I can't help you. But I can bump this up so that perhaps someone else can help!!

I'd think most people staying in timeshare resorts rent a car, you'll really need a car. I assume you're meeting people who have a car, if not you should rent a car. Can your friends handle your luggage? If so meet them in a theme park. Either take Mears to a theme park or to the Disney resort nearest the theme park you want to meet them at. You can pay Mears and they'll transport you on a DME bus.

No one can predict how long Mears will take before they decide a van/bus is full enough to dispatch or how many stops it'll make. I'd allow at least 2 hours.
