Hi Everyone,

We are getting very excited, will be at Kidani for 5 nights and I am curious, I know they have the coffee maker, small frig and microwave in the room, But do I have to bring coffee? Or is it supplied each day for the coffee maker?

And What about Shampoo or conditioner? Anyone know...

I've never stayed on Disney grounds before and just don't know what I should pack as we will not be renting a car to get stuff...

Any advise? I'm also planning on shipping a box down ahead of us any advise as to what to pack other than water...(we have no kids).

Can I ship a bottle of wine?

I've never shipped wine so I have no recommendations regarding that.

If you're staying on a cash reservation, they'll restock your coffee every day. They give you one of those packets with a pots worth of coffee, along with packets of sugar and creamer.

They'll also restock your Disney-issued shampoos and conditioners daily/as needed. I wouldn't bother bringing any as long as you don't mind using the Disney stuff. (which is awesome, BTW). They also provide shower gel.

We have rented points to stay here from a friend with DVC. so I am assuming that is not the same thing as a 'cash' reservation...

So do they do that for DVC guests or should I pack it?

:) The coffee will come with the room as well as all the usual toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, facial soap and bath soap. You will have 4 towels, 4 washcloths and 2-4 hand towels. This will get replenished every 4 days with housekeeping. DVC does not get daily housekeeping and the towel kits are $6for extas. DH and I do not have children either, so we each used a towel twice. No problem. There is a hair dryer in the room. The kitchenette will have a small liquid dish soap, rag, plastic utensils (fork, spoon, knife), several glasses for drainks and a couple of mugs. You will have a small fridge and microwave, toaster. If you are in a villa other than a studio you will have a small box of TIde for the laundry that is inside your villa. Studios use the laundry at AKV to the right of the lobby across from Community Hall. I loved it because I had it all to myself with my own flat screen TV in there...very nice. I think you can ship wine, just make sure it is packaged for shipping. The gift shop has a pretty good selection of common food items like ham, cheese, bread, etc.

You can see some really nice tours of the rooms on You Tube.

You can not ship yourself a bottle of wine as I believe it is against the law to ship alcohol unless it is coming from a retailer.

You will only have the 1 pack of coffee and they will only have a small bottle of shampoo/conditioner when you arrive. As someone staying on DVC points, you will get those replenished on your trash and towel day, day 4 (with check in day being day 1).

I'm glad to see they do give new bottles of soap/shampoo on day #4. I'm a new DVC owner and thought they only did the trash and towels on day #4. Do they also vacuum on that day? If we are staying 7 nights, do they change the bedding at any point during the stay? (I don't expect it as I change my sheets weekly at home, just curious). TIA!

thanks all....I think I'll bring some extra little packets of coffee, just to be sure and some medium size shampoo and conditioner....

I so appreciate the feedback...these dis boards are a great assest !

Can't wait we're going on the 28th....

If you are staying long enough to get a full cleaning, then that happens on Day 4 and the trash and towel happens on day 8 (I believe). We have not yet stayed long enough for any of our DVC trips at one resort to qualify for either!!!

This summer, we are doing 3 nights BCV and 3 nights at BLT so will never get to Day 4--well, I think it falls on check out day which means we will be gone!

Of course, moving resorts also give us the extra shampoo so it all works out in the end.

Technically, you then get a full cleaning on day 4 when you move resorts versus just trash and towel if you'd stayed at one all 6 days. :cool1:
