I am training for and will be running the Wine and Dine next month. My plan is
to get my C2C by doing Tink and the Princess. Long term my goal is to remain in shape so that I am always prepared to do a half marathon. I'd also like to train for a do a marathon each year.

I'd like to get some opinions on my post Wine and Dine training plan. Right now I do 4 5ks per week with hill sets on one or two of those days and a long run on the weekend. Post half next month I plan to keep with the four weekday workouts, with the addition of speed work on one of those days instead of the 5k. For my weekend runs I plan to alternate 10ks and 10 miles until the Princess. After the Princess, if I'm not starting to ramp up training for a full I'll likely scale back to just one 10 miler a month with 10ks on the rest of the weekends.

I figure this way I remain in decent enough shape to do a half any given weekend.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!

Is your goals just to stay in maintenance mode to finish a half, or do you want to get faster?

For maintenance, I might be inclined to up one of the week days to 5-6 miles (could be the speed day)

For speed, I would recommend working up to 5, 6-7, 5, 5 for your weekday runs. Increasing your mileage for the week will make the race easier.

Thanks for that suggestion. I think I can bump at least one of the weekday runs up to 5 miles. :thumbsup2
