Well, after a couple of months and looking at what seemed like a couple thousand beautiful homes, We have finally chosen and put a deposit on a rental home. The home is in FG and looks really nice. We have a very big awesome pool with a Mickey Mouse kiddie pool! Of course with the kids its all about the pool. I have read alot in here about WH, but not much about FG. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Formosa Gardens can still claim to be one of the premier sub-divisions, even though most of the properties are older than those at WH. The homes are upscale and built on large plots, and it's the closest community to WDW (albeit that's splitting hairs a bit because there are several others which are almost as close). It's a gated community, but the gate is rarely closed and, in any event, everyone and his dog knows the code. It doesn't have the resort amenities available at some of the newer communities, such as WH. What with the facilities available in the home itself (pool, games room, etc), and the parks, I always wonder when people find time to use them, anyway.

Before discovering Reunion, we spent many a happy trip at various properties on FG. I'm sure you'll be delighted.

My dad rents a house in FG for 3 months every year and loves it. The house he rents is amazing and there are some really beautiful houses in FG. My DH and I live in Orlando but we go every weekend to visit him when he is down here because we love it so much. It is very close to Animal Kingdom and lots of restaurants.

He has no problem with FG not having any of the amenities other developments have because the house has a big pool on the lake, and a hot tub. Very relaxing!

Have fun!

Formosa Gardens is right next to Windsor Hills. It does not have the community facilities, but the lots are much larger. Enjoy!

We looked at the homes when we were down to purchase our home and the homes are beautiful.

Not sure when you were last there, but the HOA had major issues with the original gates, but these were replaced in late 2005. We have stayed their numerous times since then and the gates have been closed everytime we have stayed their.

Great to here good things. Not having a community pool was a plus for DH and I. Now the kids won't be asking us to take them there. Even if we had a pool at the house they would still want to check out the other one. We can just relax while they swim.
