We are coming in on the 13th and leaving on the 20th. We will have a stroller and rental car.
What is the best way to get to all the parks from the camp ground.
I know a boat goes to MK and DD so I guess internal buses with take you to the boat.
The other parks how do you do it. Do a bus or take the boat to MK and go to the next park from there?

My Kids are 3 and 7

1. Yes take the boat to the MK, its the best and quickest way and you use the internal buses to get there.

2. I'm not sure what DD is though. The only boats that leave from FW take you to the MK, the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge. If DD is Downtown Disney, there is no boat to there.

3. Just drive to the other parks. Going to the MK and then transferring there will take maybe an hour and a half to 2 hours to get anywhere.

You get free parking, the only issue is that you will have to take a tram to the front of the gates.

You can take buses directly from FW to the parks, but it will take longer. though if you are doing some park hopping, you may think about taking the bus since then you don't have to worry about getting back to your car at the end of the day.

We always take the buses and we have a car. A lot of people complain it takes to long but we are on vacation and try to relax, we have drove in the past but sometimes it takes about the same time if you get lost. We always drive to Downtown Disney, but on rainy days its hard to find a parking place...

Most of the time we drive to the parks (other than MK). Especially if that park is open late (9:00 or so). We will arrive well before line drop in our car, stay until after lunch, then take a bus back for an afternoon rest, return by bus later, then drive the car back to the campground at night to beat the park closing crowds at the bus stop. Especially since the little ones will probably be tired late night.

The last trip we found out it was easier to drive. it was alot easier to head home at night from the park and not have to worry about getting 2 sleeping kids plus a stroller on the bus! plus we loved that we could pull right up to the cabin and not have to walk!

We drove a couple of times, but found that by the time we got lost, turned around, figured out where to go, took the tram to the front gate.... we could have just used busses/boats/monorails and enjoyed our surroundings.
The one good experience we had driving was getting to DHS first thing in the morning. We parked so close we just walked up to the gate.
We did not go to AK, but figure that would be another one we would try and drive.
Epcot - the bus ride was longer but there are lots of interesting people to talk to on bus. Or you can take the monorail from the Contemporary and go that way. :thumbsup2
If you drive - take a map - the road signs are misleading! :headache: The little basic map they give you at check-in is adequate for getting to parks.
