Which is the closest beach to anaheim? We are staying at the peacock suites near disneyland and want to go to a beach on a couple different days. Which ones are close and nice?

I don't know if this is the closest beach. The locals can correct me if I'm wrong. But we went to Huntington Beach, which was about 25-30 min. away from Anaheim, and stayed there for 2 days. We absolutely loved that beach, which went on for miles and miles. At the end of the pier, there are some great places to eat -- Chimayo's and Duke's (both of which we tried) and Ruby's Diner (we never ate there). Side note: Loved Chimayo's and Duke's but make sure you get reservations if you want to enjoy dinner there or you're outta luck.

The sand at Huntington Beach was so nice and soft. The waves were great for boogie boarding and surfing.

you are correct. It is a nice beach with shopping and restaurants right across the street. Do a search online to see if there are any special events when you are visiting. HB usually has surfing, skating and other contests.

Huntington Beach or Newport Beach both about the same distance. When you get to Pacific Coast Highway, right for HB left for NB. If you want to travel a little further south try Laguna Beach. Nice shopping, great beach plus lots of tide pools at low tide. And lots of nice restaurants :goodvibes

Last year my DS12 DS3 DD15 DH and myself visited Huntington one day and Laguana Beach the next. All agreed Laguana was better! We left from Anaheim too and both were easy to get to. I don't remember spending more than 35minutes.:cool1: Great memories!;)
