I just popped into a none Dvc forum where some poor new guy was venting over a bad Disney Experience. The people on that forum kicked beat ran over the poor guy for venting over a bad trip. I think its Better if I don't wonder again and stay here where its safe.

FWIW, that occasionally happens here, too. We mods do try to stop it as soon as we can, though.


P.S. If it was a DIS Board, feel free to use the "Report a Post" feature. Just click on the

. (It's at the bottom of the frame that containes the poster's screen name). The board mods will get the report and if the post violates the DIS Posting Guidelines, the mods will take the appropriate action.

It's safer here among friends, but occasionally you do need to go out into the "real world" in order to better appreciate what you have here at home.

I actually used to be a regular at "one of those other boards" but I got so fed up with the mean spiritedness I left.

I recently popped back in to check on a friend and quickly remembered why I left.

The mods do a great job here. It's much appreciated! Let's hear it for them!

Though you see personal attacks once in a great while here that the good moderators quickly nix, what is different about this site from many others is that 99% plus of the time everyone treats each other with respect, courtesy rules, and no one treats any inquiry as a dumb question.

Used to get pretty ugly here too a few years ago, have to admitt I got cought up in it now and then. Hopefully I never really offended anyone. Seems the moderators now do a good job of nixing things before they get out of hand. Is nixing a word?

Just wanted to say I love the picture you have as your avatar. We take a family picture in front of that Mickey (Disneyland Hotel right?) every time we go. It's GREAT to see all of us change and grow from year to year, and Mickey always stays the same!

I'm not talking about heated discussions and a few negative posts.

Didn't have to be negative views. Any post was up for abuse. Really, anything. Comparing this board to the one I'm talking about is like comparing apples to...barracudas.

I was thinking that we do a fair share of bashing "at least that was what I was told" with my thread starters that weren't negative btw. Can't have negative over here.....shame shame.
