Staying extra night in someone else's room--DME??

I'm pretty new to posting, so apologies if I do anything wrong! I did search to see if my question has been answered in another thread, and I didn't come up with anything quite right. Here's my confusing situation, which I hope the wise people of the DIS will be able to help with (if anyone can!):

I'm heading to WDW on 2/19 with my parents and my 16-year-old cousin (coming from a different state and meeting us at MCO). We have booked 2 separate packages/rooms on a FD pin offer, one for my parents and one for me and my cousin. My cousin has to leave on 2/22, but my parents and I are staying till the next morning because flights for 2/23 were so much cheaper. We figured that to save a little money, we would have me and my cousin's package end on 2/22 and I would just move into my parents' room for the last night, since I can still use my meal credits and park ticket for the rest of that day. But that creates an issue with DME going back to the airport, since my checkout day is technically one day earlier than I actually need a ride back to the airport.

As far as I know we can't add me to my parents' package/room just for that last night, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong--that would make this much easier! And we can't move me over to my parents' package for the entire time since my cousin is only 16 and can't be on a reservation alone. Should we be considering moving us all to the package that goes through 2/23 and switching the other one to a RO reservation? Is there some other workaround that I'm not thinking of? Or am I better off just booking a Mears shuttle or something to get myself back to the airport?

I would call magical express 866-599-0951 and ask them" what to do?"

You can add yourself to their room for the last night. Prior to the tirp everyone has to have the same entitlements but once they have checked in and started the package then they can add you at that point.

You will have to pay the extra adult fee and you can make your DME reservation on that last day.

I have added my sister a few times after we checked in with a package and she just purchases her own food and has and AP.

They can even wait until the day you check-out of your room to do this. Once they add you to the room then go ahead and call Magical Express and reserve yourself on the bus for the next day.

You may have to pay the extra adult charge for your parent's room for that night.

^This is correct. You will have to wait until after they check in.

Don't wait too long.

Have your parents add you to their room 48 or more hours in advance and immediately make your Magical Express reservation back to the airport.

If you don't get a correct DME confirmation on the morning of the day before the day you finally leave (or haven't made your DME reservation yet) then you will need to make the DME reservation immediately and wait for or report back for the confirmation immediately when that paper becomes available. This may cause you to miss rope drop or have to up and leave the park in the afternoon.
