Staying at YC, want to have dinner @ Boma...

The trip to a park then hotel, then hotel to park to hotel could take a long time though. You should also consider a cab.

We're going in January, and I think AK closes pretty early (6pm?)...will transportation be a problem after park hours?

Maybe we'd be better off to do a lunch there.

Buses run 2 hours after park closes, if it is later than that you could always take the Epcot bus to Epcot then catch the bus back to YC.

Sorry I forgot... no bus from Epcot to YC you would have to take the boat or walk.

I would suggest a cab, for approx 15 buck with tip included you will save yourself alot of time...no need to arrange one in advance there is always one in the front of the hotel if not the bell hop will call you a cab and it should be there within minutes

We did this twice on our last trip (from BC) - once to Boma, once to Jiko. Let me say, transportation really stunk. A few issues to consider - no hotel to hotel buses, and AKL closes early enough that return transportation that way may be a factor.

On our first trip we took the bus to DTD, then from there to AKL. I would say it was at least 30-45 minutes, although I can't remember exactly. We were so bus sick afterwards. I am not sure why they told us to go through DTD, but I think through AKL would been faster. On the way back, we went through MGM (AKL to MGM) and then walked to BC. This is a pretty easy walk along a nice path. It was very pleasant and nice not to have to transfer buses.

The second trip (to Jiko) was over our anniversary and we decided to take a cab. It was about $15 each way. Well worth it as it was so much more relaxing.

If you can manage it, your easiest bet (at least going there) is to leave right from the park and then you only need one bus. JJ

When I do Boma, I schedule it for the day I plan to do AK so that I'm not making the bus trip to AK just to get to AKL. After, I take the bus to DTD, since AK usually closes at 5:00 when I'm there, so I just spend some time (not to mention money ) there. Since you're staying at YC, taking the bus to Epcot and spending the rest of your evening there is a possibilty if you've got park hoppers.

Take the boat over to the Studios, then catch the bus to AKL. On the way back, take the bus from AKL back to the Studios and walk or catch boat back to YC. This would be the easiest way using Disney transportation.
