This year we are staying at the WL for the first time. We have a Courtyard View room ressie. What can we expect for a view and are we asured of getting a balcony. Also is there anything we should ask for to get a view of the Water Pagent.

Thanks for your help.

All WL rooms have balconies except the ground level rooms and they have a patio. Most courtyard rooms give you a partial view of the EWP.

We also have courtyard view booked for our next trip. I didn't prefer this view, it was the only view available at the AP rate. I have been trying to get a standard or woods view at the AP rate but there is still nothing available. Is the courtyard view nice? Are there any rooms that give you a full view of the EWP? Do any of the courtyard rooms have those enclosed balconies? I'm just thinking we might prefer a quieter woods view room. Some say the courtyard view rooms are much noisier. Thanks for any info you can give!

You will love the WL. It is the only place for us to stay, except for this Christmas (we are not paying so we are at the parent's mercy). As stated, all rooms have a balcony and courtyard should give you a view of the EWP although it will be to the side, no front on views. Also, if you have kids, ask for bunkbeds, they love them.

Courtyard is what it says, views of the waterfall, pool area. There are rooms on the outside of the south wing that are nice and peacfull. We just had room 5004 and no noise problems at all,

The best place to view the parade is the short walk down to the boat dock. We grabbed a drink and sat down there last Saturday night.

FloridaCat,

Do you prefer courtyard over woods view? Thanks.

Yes I do, after a day of crowds and parks, it is nice to sit and look at the trees and feel you are in the NW, where we spent many vacations back in the 70's.

The Courtyard is awesome and I spend a lot of time down there, but to relax and have peace, it's Woodsview.

All the rooms we have been in are the same, two beds or one bed and bunk beds. the price is determined by the view.

Regardless there is no better resort for our money. We just spent a weekend there. read my trip report WL Sep Trip

I really enjoyed our courtyard view at WL. I love hearing the resort music from the balcony, its so soothing to me. In the evening after DD was asleep it was fun to people watch and you have a nice view of the pool, geyser area and bay lake to. We could hear and see EWP as it went by which was very cool. I think you'll really like the courtyard view!
