What have been your best moments whilst staying on-site at Universal?

Watching them film the "Frankenstein" segment of the Universal Superbowl commercial at the HRH..............

Watching the teenage girls go crazy while the rappers RUN DMC were in the HRH lobby....

Being at the HRH pool during their birthday bash concert...........

Riding on a Mardi Gras float..........


I could go on and on, lots of great moments!!

Which hotel did you prefer Portofino or Royal Pacific , what made them special, which rooms did you like?

Out of the three I prefer the HRH, next would be the RPR and then the Portifino. We have had deluxe and standard rooms at the HRH. The deluxe is huge, and comfortably sleep 6, the problem would be bathroom sharing. The portifino had the best bathroom by far, and the most comfy beds. The rooms we had at the RPR were standard sized, very pretty. When we go back we will probably stay at the HRH again unless the price is much better at the RPR. I like the "Velvet" bar at the HRH and Jakes bar at the RPR is nice too.

I like walking to the parks and the Portifino was pretty far.

Great question!

For me, I enjoy staying at a really nice hotel. HRH fits that to a T. I love all the amenities in the rooms, the really great memorabilia, the music throughout the hotel, the grounds.......
But the best moment was when we realized how close we are to those great parks. We stayed at PBH, which was a great hotel also, but not quite as lively as HRH.

The staff at HR are a bunch of really cool people, rocker types. But I had to laugh because the bartender at the bar by the pool looked like an ancient rock and roll roadie! He had longish graying hair and his face looked like it had done some really fast living. Looked like Keith Richards!

Hi,

Best moments at Universal are -

- Using our "Front of the line" hotel keys for the very first time made us feel like VIP's.

- Driving up the drive to the HRH for the first time.

- Sleeping in a HRH bed !

- Walking to the parks/City Walk in under 5 mins.

- Halloween Horror nights- Bill and Ted and Port of Entry.

- Just generally walking through he HRH/Pool area taking in the excellent, upbeat atmosphere.

- Having a drink on the veranda of the velvet bar after a night at city walk

- Opening the door to our room at the HRH for the very first time.

- Drinking a Hurricane at Pat O,Brians.

- Riding Spidey and the Hulk

- The Mystic fountain at IOA

- Doing a tour of the Hard Rock cafe

- Helicopter tour over Universal Orlando.

- Having a meal at Mythos, Hard Rock Cafe and Margaritiville.

- Nelly Furtado concert at Hard Rock Live.

- Chilling out at the HRH pool.
