We are staying at SSR, then taking the 3 day Wonder, we are doing DCL transfers, (probably should have done it on our own), but they told us to be at the Poly at 10:30am, anyone ever done this without a car, should we just get a taxi that morning to lug our luggage over, or will Disney help us get the luggage over and we just take a bus over? Figured we would go to DTD, there should be a direct bus to the Poly, but what about the luggage?

I can't believe they would make you transfer your own luggage to the poly. We are doing the same in March from SSR (don't tell my son!). They better bring the bus to SSR.

If you need to get yourself over there, I would have Bell services transfer the luggage first thing in the morning.

Any reason why you wouldn't use a towncar, its much cheaper and you get a ride right at your resort. So much easier for you. This sounds like a major hassle and time consumer.

Should have done a towncar, that is what we usually do, but for some stupid reason I booked the transfers, it will still work great, I called DCL, they do have a pickup at SSR, its at 12:15. Perfect timing!

When I did DCL, they would pick up our luggage (minus carry ons) from our resort with us (POR). I can't believe they would make oyu take your luggage to the Poly.

When we checked in, we were also told that we could leave from AK. We left our luggage at the room, took carry ons to AK, and checked carry-on that we did not need for AK. That gave us to 11:30 or 12 at AK.

BTW, I loved the DCL transfers. They brought my luggage from the airport too. Plus, the DCL bus played cartoons from the airport and from WDW to the Port. They also played a DCL video describin gonbpard options as you apporached Port. Just helped with the magic.

Well, this was a major fiasco!! but problem officially solved!

Again called DCL, yes, yes, yes, they offer cruise pickups at all DVC resorts, it is something they do for us members!!!!! But this is not advertised to outside agents.

After being on hold forever, Jess at DCL got approval from a Manager to alter my resservation and change the transfer from the Poly to SSR!

I don't have the time or energy to call Costco back to confirm, but will wait and when I get my documents see what it says!!!

While I was doing all the waiting, I did put on a hold a transfer from Tiffany $105.00 plus gratuity, still a good deal because you pick the time, but as wtpclc said, part of the magic is watching the videos and the cruise info, the kids love it!!!

Rent a car. We are doing the same thing Feb 12 and we are paying $23.00 for the rental car and droping the car off at the Budget location at the port. That way we can leave when we want and stop along the way if need be.
Check the rental rates. Avis Hertz and Budget have facilities at the port and there is NO extra charge to drop the car off. Then to get to the airport just rent another car to go back there. All 3 rental companies offer free shuttle to the boat. As well as a shuttle from the boat back to the agency when you need to pick the car up again.
This is such a cheaper way.. Give it a try.. If you belong to Sams Club or Costco book through their web sit for discount offers.
