Staying at POR-renting car for one day

What location is the best and easiest place to rent a car for one day while staying at Port Orleans Riverside? Car Care Center? Or take boat to Downtown Disney and walk to Doubletree (how far a walk is that?)

The Car Care Center has a shuttle which will transport you to the CCC to pick up the car and drop you off at the resort after returning the car. Both Alamo and National operate out of the CCC. The walk from the DTD boat dock to the Doubletree is 1.2 miles.

We have stayed at SSR and rented a car for 1-2 days. We rented an Avis car. Took a bus to DTD and walked to the Hilton that is across the street from DTD its about 5-8 minute walk. Dollar is also located at the Wyndham across from DTD. Its on the opposite corner from the DTD Marketplace bus stop.

Alamo will pick you up at the resort.
