Have a 2 bdrm at OKW coming up. Disney Dining Plan for my whole family. My parents live in Florida and are going to come up for 2 days. Should we be worried about them staying with us since we are booked for a certain number in our party and with the rules for DDP that everyone staying in the room must be a part of the DDP?

Am I paranoid? Don't like bending the rules but I want my kids to see their grandparents.

Maybe you should contact MS to find out. Everyone staying in the room IS supposed to be on the plan for the entire length of stay. How will you get room IDs for them?

If they do not need their own room keys, you should have no problem. If they do need their own keys, then I hope that Disney is able to bend the rules for you. Good luck!

The only thing that might get you in a bind is if you try to do EMH as they wouldn't be able to get a wristband w/o a room key.

Have a great vacation with your parents.

Who will tell you it's for the entire party for the entire LOS regardless of how few days some of the party will be there.

if they don't need keys and you are under the 8 allowed in a 2 bedroom it might work.

No keys then no EMH and if using pool and they card you they will not be allowed in if it's crowded

Actually it will work but by being dishonest.

I know it would be but another post on this thread offered the same option only worded diff.

As I've posted before, this is somewhat more complicated with DVC and the DDP. DVC says it must be added prior and you can't change it at check in. That could certainly present the catch 22, especially in this situation. And it is my opinion that the party size and last minute or part of the trip guests are far more common for DVC that otherwise. I believe this is an area that DVC and/or Disney will have to address at some point and come up with some guidelines that take this exact issue into account. That is if the program lasts beyond 2007 which I think may be a question mark at this time at least with how it's currently drawn up. I could easily see a change where all you have is snack credits and dining credits. Where you used 1 credit for a CS, 2 for some TS, 3 for other's and maybe 4 for Signature. With that type approach, even V & A becomes potentially workable under the plan. And I believe there are ways to manipulate this issue legally under the system. In this case you'd simply make 2 separate reservations and get the DDP for the applicable portion only. You might be beyond the intent but you'd certainly be within the rules.

I agree with this, Dean
