We've never been there before. We're currently booked in standard view but we can upgrade to DTD view for only about $250 more for the week. Is there any value to having a DTD view? Can you see fireworks from the DTD view rooms? We've requested bunk beds and my kids really want to have them, I've read that we have a good chance of getting bunk beds in a standard view room, are we lessening our chances of getting bunk beds by paying for the DTD view?

I would like to sit on the balcony, watch people walking in DTD, listen to the music, smelling those wonderful smells. Some room, I hear, have a reasonable view of the fireworks, but not the castle.
I also remember Slappy White!

Can't help you with the bunk beds info, but with the last two DTD views (one by Hagen Daz and one by the World of Disney) we had awesome views of the fireworks.....

Of all the options, this is our favorite view from the Grand.

This is why we LOVED our DTD view (with bunkbeds) from just over the entrance to DTD on the 4th floor!

Having said this, it was quiet loud at night; especially if a musician was right below your window. Depending on the night, they play until 10pm or later when the parks are open later.

I love the DTD view best there, too. :) I would do it if I were you - unless you will be in the parks most nights.
Theme park is more expensive, and that was nice, too, but like Jack said - there is nothing that beats sitting on the balcony on a busy night, listening to music, people watching and soaking up the Disney magic. Ahhh. I love it, wish I were there now.:goodvibes
