Staying at GF--Want to Ride Bikes

My favorite ride at WDW is the bicycle--not surreys, just regular 2-wheelers. The Disney grounds are so beautiful.

We are staying at the GF (my favorite hotel) for 10 nights, starting this Friday. I have 2 questions:

1. Confirmation--heavy sigh--that I can't rent bikes at GF
2. Suggestions from DIS'ers--where should I go to rent and ride a bike? I have a car, so can start from any point in the World. I want to stay on property to enjoy the landscaping.

You can rent bikes at Fort Wilderness. That would be a nice ride through the campground.
