Staying at Dolphin for First time

During New Year's Eve time frame. The resort seems so hugh - if it is booked full during this time, will it be really crowded in the lobby area?

Also, does the Swan and Dolphin share buses? Where does it pick up guests first?

Does anyone have pictures of the newly decorated rooms?

The Dolphin lobby is HUGE. I doubt you would even notice a crowd. The S/D do share busses and its first stop is the Swan going and coming (that's if the busses are not going to the BWI and Y/BC). When I was there the busses were only stopping at S/D but I have read that they can go to the other Epcot resorts, too.

There were several conventions going on when we were there last Nov., and the only time the lobby area was overly crowded was when the conventioneers gathered around the bar that is located just off the lobby on the way to one of the exits. These seemed to be planned convention events as there were tubs of beverages on ice put out. The impact of the conventions was most evident when they took over the pool area on 2 nights for events, closing the pool to other guests.

S/D shares busses with YC/BC and sometimes Boardwalk. The pick-up sequence is S, D, YC/BC then Boardwalk. During busy times, Boardwalk gets its own bus.
