Staying at Coronado Springs instead of Wilderness Lodge, Please tell me I'll be HAPPY

We stayed at CSR this past June and loved it. DD,11, and her friend thought the pool was the best. The staff was 5 star. The rooms were cheery. The Pepper Market food was delicious-we loved the variety. The resort was gorgeous and we never used the shuttle. From drive-up to drive away we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It's now our favorite onsite hotel. We like it better than the GF or the Poly.

How did you book your room at CSR? I'm just curious how you got the $99 rate because that seems like a really good rate. We are thinking about staying there in January based on all the good reviews on the boards. I'd appreciate hearing how you booked! Thanks and have a great trip! :sunny:

I have always thought CSR looked beautiful. My only real reason for not trying it is double beds and only one sink. I really like the convenience of 2 sinks and queen beds. My boys are getting bigger and need the extra bed space. Those pictures that BUZZ posted are great!

I booked with CRO with the Florida Residents Rate. I found the rate before I called at Mousesavers.com. Great site to find those discounts.

CSR is a great resort. We first went there when it had just opened. It was so new they did not have have postcards with the resort pictured on them. we enjoyed it so much that on our next trip DW "had" to go back there.

I am sure you will enjoy it, especially saving over $300/night from WL.!

tiberius,

With all these great posts about CSR, I am sure our family will have a wonderful time. I was disappointed when we couldn't get into WL, but like you mentioned that $300.00/night savings will be very nice. Actually it is downright fantastic! I can see some nicer restaurants and maybe an extra souvenier for the kids happening on this trip with the savings.

Does anyone have any input on the restaurant there. I think it is called Maya Grill. I think we would like to give it a try one night. What about the food at Pepper Market? Any good? :flower:

Having stayed about both Wilderness Lodge and Coronado Springs several times, you will love Coronado, it captures the theme wonderfully.

Enjoy your trip!

Jennifer

Don't worry, be happy :teeth: We have stayed at CSR (our absolute favorite mod) and WL (one of our favorite deluxes). You will love CSR, it is very, very close to being a deluxe! Lots of deluxes amenities, great bus service, great atmosphere, wonderful resort!

I haven't been to Maya Grill but the Pepper Market is fantastic! The portions are HUGE. We ate there for dinner once - I had the wet burrito (awesome) and my boyfriend had prime rib. PRIME RIB!!! We also ate there for breakfast. We had breakfast skillets. They were so big we couldn't finish.

I've heard nothing but good things about Maya Grill - I'm gonna try it out next time for sure!
