Staying at Contemporary Tower on points, how much to upgrade to Concierge with cash?

Heard from a CM I could ask at check-in if Concierge level (14th floor) room was available and upgrade by paying cash. She could not/would not quote a rate. Has anyone done this before? Is concierge level really worth the extra $$$? We are traveling with our sons, ages 3 and 5, and thought the convenience of continental bkft, snacks, drinks, (not to mention the view from the lounge) might be worth the extra price. I'd love to hear lots of opinions, especially due to the cost to be considered. Thanks for all your info. this board is great!

Sorry if this topic has been discussed before, I can't find the thread. I'm just trying to justify the added cost and need suggestions! Thanks for your help.

While we have not used points to stay at Contemp Concierge, we did stay there with a cash ressie 2 years ago.

We were in the Tower- MK view. The room was nice and the view of the castle spectacular, but concierge left something to be desired. Other than some cookies in the evening and juice and muffins in the AM, there were no special services or CM's to assist us. Bell services even brought the wrong luggage to our room and took 45 minutes to correct it after we went back downstairs to pick out our belongings ourselves.

The Tower is great- request a MK view, but unless concierge has drastically improved, don't shell out more $$ for the disappointing service.
