I need some help...
We are staying at the Caribbean beach resort... My daughter and cousin were DYING to eat breakfast with Mary Poppins at Grand Floridian (1900 Park Fare)
Our reservation is for 9:10 AM on 7/4...
I realize that we should take the bus to Epcot (closest park to us with monorail) and then monorail to GF... my question is has anyone done this, and do they have any idea how long this will take?

Thank you in advance to anyone that knows!

Hi heavenleigh,

Try posting this on the transportatiopn board where you may get more help....

I think a better way would be to take the bus to the MK then get on the resort Monorail to the GF. I'd allow 45-60 minutes.

If you take the bus to Epcot you'll have to take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC then switch to the resort monorail. That will take even longer.

Fastest way would be a taxi from CBR to the GF, porbably about 15 minutes and $15.

Hope this helps,

Bob

Bob...
I originally looked over on the transportation board, but all the questions seemed to be about airlines! lol
I originally thought bus to MK, then monorail... but CBR is Epcot location (forgot resort monorail!)
I think we will look into how long that takes, and maybe get a cab...
Thank you for responding so fast... I am planning planning, and this board has been a lifesaver!

You could also take the bus to EPCOT and then go to the GF bus stop and take the bus to GF. Being early in the morning there will be more buses running to get people to the parks and your trip from EPCOT to GF will probably be a private one. This may be the fastest way other than a cab.

The breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is one of our favorites. The food is great and the interaction is not rushed and is plentiful. Have a great trip!!

We have gone from CBR to the Contemporary and the Polynesian on several occasions.

We have always taken the bus to MK and jumped on the resort monorail. It sounds nuts, and we were warned when we made our PS's, but make sure you leave 60-90 minutes of transportation time.

It really did take more than an hour each time! You could do a cab, but prepare to pay! It depends on how much an extra half hour of sleep is worth to you!

Enjoy your breakfast!

we stayed at CBR & took bus to MK and then monorail to GF. I would allow at least 1 hour.

Would the resort launch from MK to Grand Floridian be running? When we stayed at GF in April we always took it back from MK. It 's a smallish boat and GF is the first of two stops, second is the Poly. It took at the most 10 minuted from MK. It's a lot quicker than the monorail. We were always having to hold in the morning going into CR, waiting for another train to clear.

There is no bus from EPCOT to GF, only the monorail.

We did this on the last day of our trip - we stayed at CBR as well. My advice to you is take either the Epcot, MGM, or MK busses. If you take the MGM bus, you can just transfer at MGM to the GF bus, and with the MK and Epcot busses you can do the same as well (or use the monorail). I would not recommend getting on the DTD or AK busses, as they have multiple stops and take a VERY long time. But, any one of the three I mentioned will do fine and get you to the GF - I say take whichever comes first, they'll all get you to the GF in about the same amount of time. :)

If you take a cab, be extra careful! We were greatly ripped off last time we took a cab in DW - the cab driver even refused me a real receipt (instead, he handed me a piece of paper that said "receipt" but it did not say the price or anything!) Be careful!

This is not uncommon for cabs - it allows business execs to "pad" their expense accounts.
