We just got off the Wonder and had a great time! The question our whole group asked was: Why does DCL spend so little time on CC? They own the island already, why not let us enjoy it more? We would rent more boats and floats, buy more stuff, etc. Why do they rush out of there at 5 PM? There must be a reason: Anyone know it?

We all thought they should just leave the ship tied up and let us have two days in a row there. It would even save on fuel since otherwise we just wandered around for a full day and night at sea.

I've heard rumors that there are some nasty insects that come out there at night. This may be the reason they leave so quickly. Can anyone confirm?

Bugs are the main issue...according to several CM's that I have spoken with over the years.

Apparently they are unbearable as soon as the sun sets. There are several CM's that live on the island so I do not know what they do when the sun goes down....stay in their rooms all night??? Where body armour when they venture out???

I suspect another reason is the staffing.

Have you been on the boat while people are at CC? - pretty deserted. Most of the CMs move over to CC.

When time comes around to serve dinner, they need to move a lot of the CM who have been walking the sand getting you Bahama Mama's back to the boat, showered, cleaned up and into the dining rooms. The entertainment staff has to get ready for the shows at night. The photographers have got to set up for photos. The kids club counselors have to get back to the boat for all the little ones who don't want to sit through 2 hour long meals. etc.
