I know you lot are the best to ask!
im staying in a 2 br atthe BWV , we want a quiet ish room as i have 4 kids, 2 little ones, any suggestions of a room or area to ask for?, note bothered about the long corridors x

have any of the rooms be refurbished recently?

thanks x

Have a great time! Because you don't mind the long walk, see if there is a room at the end of the corridor, less traffic. We were at the end of the hall of the Standard View side of BWV, just before the hall took a final bend to the right, in a 2 bedroom and it was a nice quiet room. Great view off the balcony too, we saw the Friendship boat canal.

We have always had wonderful check in CM's at BWV. Sometimes a room wasn't ready when we got there, but we've been given a choice of areas, or the CM asked what sort of room we would like. I wish you the same experience!

I would suggest just asking for not too far from elevators. The only way to almost guarantee absolute quiet is to be very far from the elevators. We usually get a standard view and ask for not to far from elevators, which gives us a view of the driveway, and we have never experience alot of noise either from the drive, or from hallway traffic. Have a great time.

If you got standard view, then it will be along the driveway that leads up to the entrance. I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. You get a great view of Illuminations.

thanks, will remember all this....or try to!!!
Call MS and ask to have your request added to the reservation. In my experience, the BWV preassign rooms - doesn't do much good to ask at check in. They go by what is on the reservation.

We love that area! We were there by chance, last December and watched Illuminations every night and even got to see the Space Shuttle launch all from our balcony - what an experience!

We requested it again our August 2007 reservation.

In my experience, doesn't make much difference if its on the reservation either - they just give you a room and if you say "do you have anything on a high floor they look at you and say "your room is on the second floor."

Just got back. Requested a high floor. Got assigned handicapped, 1st floor:confused3
Was told I could change the next day for a 40 fee.:
After settling in we decided we loved the rooms (2bedroom). We were in rooms 1068 & 1070 which are located directly behind the pool bar building. This made for easy access to the pool for the kids, we didn't have to use the lobby. and it wasn't noisy as it would be on a higher floor because the bar blocked the sounds.
Having it be handicapped was only a little annoying when it came to the shower.
Would be happy in this room again.
Have fun.
