My DH,DS,and I are taking our first trip to WDW at the end of May. :Pinkbounc We are staying at the All Star Sports because both DH and DS love sports!! I have read some not so good things about All Star Sports :sad2: and was wondering if anyone had some good experiences while staying there. :confused3

That's were DD and I stayed for her first trip. We really liked it and would go back. The bus service was pretty good and it's nice since Sports is always picked up and dropped off first when the buses go to the other All Star resorts.

Thanks for the post!! That makes me feel better about our choice :thumbsup2 All Star Sports looks like a fun place and my DS cant wait to play on the football field! :yay:

We had a fine time there, I don't see much of a difference between any of the All Star resorts having stayed at all three, but when we go with high schoolers they tend to enjoy the ball fields there and as the last poster said having first dibs on the buses is really nice.

We stayed here last Easter week and loved it! I would definitely go back there.

The only problems we had was the fact that we had a room right on the pool, in Surf's Up building. We have young children and would be up and out very early in the a.m., and back to the room by about 9 each night to get the kids to bed. Unfortunately, the pool was still "rockin'" till about midnight or later, each night, and it was VERY noisy! VERY NOISY!

We actually brought one of those sound machines, and it still didn't block out the yelling and screaming.

So, the only thing I would do differently is request a room facing the parking lot :teeth: I know that sounds weird, but we were only in the room to sleep and the view doesn't matter. I think it would be much quieter on that side of the building.

I've read that it can be very loud. I requested a preferred room location however, I'm not sure where that is?? Seems as though I read it was near the pool but, I'm not sure. I tried to change my DS mind, I thought he would enjoy All Star Movies better but he is set on staying at Sports. It's good to know that the All Stars are pretty much the same. I like the fact about being the first bus stop. Thanks everyone for the info, it has helped a lot!! :wave2:

I will also be at ASsp May 26/28. I will be in a preferred room. The ones with the Surf boards. U can request one that is not facing the pool, as they are in a T shape. I requested one by the pool. As we will be there for 1 day to swim and enjoy the resort. My AP expires at midnight on 5/26

Now with free dining I may have to go back. Maybe I will renew. ;)

I may request a room not facing the pool. Although, my DS will want to get in the pool as much as possible!! Thanks for the tip, it was really helpful. :thumbsup2

We were in the tennis section back before Christmas. It was very quiet but quite a long walk from EVERYTHING. I didn't just hate this resort but would only go back if nothing else was available. I thought the general condition and theming of the Movies and Music (visited in October) was far better. Of course, Pop would be my very first choice of the values.
