Staying at a WDW DVC resort & visiting VB question:

In May we'll be staying at OKW. If we "hop" over to visit VB, will our OKW resort keys operate the pool area gates ?

I have never tried that.... I would call the VB resort(772.234.2000 )and ask them first. I doubt the OKW key will work.

We have done this, the VB front desk will give you a day pass card for access to the VB pool area.

Two years ago, while we were staying at VB, we decided to visit the MK for one day....

I was very suprised that we were able to use our VB room keys to charge purchases at MK stores and restaurents....

I knew the room key would work for charging priviledges because we had used the VB room key for lunch at Spoodles, that's why I thought it would possibly work in the gates. But the day pass will work just as easy. Thanx again.

Some people have been denied this privilege in the past. So if you call, talk to a supervisor on the day you are visiting and get their name.
