Staying at a Non-Home Resort

Yeah, but you’re one of those young whippersnappers who recently bought BWV! Us oldies but goodies would die in the heat and humidity of the summer!

We don’t mind spending extra to stay late October through March. Since we bought 2 BR worth of points, DH and I have enough to cover those 1 BR even with the increased points required.

Yup the goal is not get to everyone to change but "just enough".

You don't have to buy where you want to stay. My home resort is Aulani and I have yet to stay there. I haven't had any issues getting the resort I want. I've stayed at AKV Kidani, BCV, Riviera, Poly, SSR, and GFV. The rooms I reserved range from PV studios to 1 BRs. The waitlist is your best friend.
