Staying a few extra days to look around?

I am going with friends to BLT in Oct 2010 and then with family in late Dec 2010.

I have been thinking about staying a day or two longer by myself in a studio on one or both trips to experience BCV and AKV. I think it would be fun to look around the resort, try some restraunts that my family and friends aren't interested in, check out the animals and storm-along-bay pool.

It would be great to do BCV during the October trip if I can get in at the 7-month mark (Do you think I have a chance for 1 or 2 nights? - probably be weekends).

I was thinking AKV Jan 1 & 2, 2011 at the 7-month mark. I'm having problems deciding Kandi or Jambo house. Heck maybe I'll do one night in both.
I think I'll like Jambo house better since there are more restraunts close and I don't get around that good. I definately would want a good savana view, so what should I ask for? I would like to see zebras and girraffs especially.

Thanks in advance for any advice you have

We had a 1 bedroom savannah view at the Jambo house. I'm not sure if Kidanis savannah had girraffes. I will say they had one of the longest balconies we've ever had.

We were in 5425

We like Kidani better. The resort has a homey DVC feel to it and it has a giraffe savanna view. The only negative is it's lack of food but the walk to Jambo House isn't that bad.

We LOVED Kidani. We just got back on Tuesday. We were in a 1 BR. (There ARE giraffes.) Unfortunately, we both caught colds on the plane down. My DH gets things worse than most people (he sold his immune system to some 3rd world country  ) so on Saturday I took myself on a tour of DVC resorts and the models. It was fun going by myself. I'd give it a try, if I were you!
