Sorry if this has already been asked….

I was just wondering if any one has stayed at the Staybridge Suites. My DH, DD(3) and my self are sharing a two bedroom suite with my Brother, Sister-in-law, and there three kids(8)(6) &(8months). My parents were smart and got a one room suite to them self ;) !!

The rooms have a full kitchen in them but I didn’t know where the closest grocery store is or how to get to it.

Also did you enjoy your stay at the Staybridge Suites?

We stayed there with my DH, DS (1 at the time), SIL, MIL & FIL. It was really nice. The sofa bed in the "living room" wasn't very comfortable for an adult but it should be just fine for the kids. We didn't use the kitchen for anything other than to keep stuff cold. The breakfast was nice and I believe they had a couples of hot options too.

We loved the hotel, but didn't like the distance from the parks. At 1 mile away it's too hard to take breaks during the day. Or to drop off the kids (we have 3 more now) with the grandparents so we can have some big kid fun. I'm sure that we'll stay there again when all the kids are older.

I haven't stayed there but have heard good things.

I would just order your groceries on line and have them delivered to your hotel. Safeway.com, only like a $5 delivery fee or something like that.

I stayed there the night prior to my first visit. It was okay, plenty of restaurants if not grocery stores on the strip. Cozy rooms and it had wireless before it became trendy. However, I do prefer being closer if not on property.

A good friend stayed there for their June DL trip, and said it was wonderful. They especially loved having the full kitchen with little people for bottles etc. They had really good luck using ART, so I am hoping we will too!! One reviewer on Tripadvisor mentions there is a Vons close by for groceries. Have a great vacation!

We stayed there earlier in the year. It was fine for us. I did have to clean a bit. They have directions to all the stores at the front desk. We did have to switch rooms half way through because the AC broke but they got us into a suite right across the hall from where we were. All in all I would stay there again.

We LOVED it, but our stay was back in 2002 so I don't know if things have changed. They had fantastic service, a good shuttle service, great food (not just breakfast, but also happy hours and evening BBQs). I shared a 2BR suite with Max, who had his first birthday on that trip, my brother, my sister, and her three kids. Max and I had a bedroom with a King bed and full bathroom with tub/shower. My brother had the living room with sofabed. My sister and her kids had the other bedroom with 2 Queens and full bath with tub/shower. There was a full kitchen with dishes, toaster, stove/oven, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, linens, dishes, etc. My brother and sister hit a grocery store because my brother drove down - I don't remember where they shopped, but I think it might have been the Food-4-Less in Fullerton next to the Disney Warehouse store. The pool and spa were nice. It is over a mile from DLR so you will either need to use the shuttle or have a car. The shuttle is ART, the only real problem with it is that it doesn't have (or maybe it does now, but I haven't used it in a while) a late pickup. I think the last shuttle is 30 minutes after park closing, so if you like to go out to dinner after the parks close, you will need to get a cab to get back to the hotel.

Staybridge Suites are very nice up here. They are owned and run by Holiday Inn. I would check on trip advisor and see how it is rated.
