Hi All,
Just booked to go to Disney again with Virgin this summer. I did a search for reviews first but just posting in case anyone here can add something.

As my mum is going this time we have booked a 2 bed trio suite at the Staybridge suites LBV. Anyone been recently?, reviews seem to be good and bad as usual :confused3 .Travel agent said we could poss walk to DTD from there if I fancied a beer or 2.

We have booked our car via usrentacar this time as virgin are only now free car for 7 days and we want a car for 14. I'm a bit worried about car size with 4 adults (14yr old = adult) and 1 child plus all our luggage (esp mums!) so we have upgraded to a 4x4, still £30 cheaper than the virgin 'free' car.

Any thoughts, i still have 5 days to cancel if I messed up :teeth: .

Thanks
Shaun

We had a 2-bedroom suite there for 2 nights last May and liked it. DH is a member of the Priority Points scheme (run by Intercontinental Hotels group - a British company who own the Staybridge brand) so we had a star on our door denoting membership and a bag of cookies awaiting us :) - funny the small things you remember. I'd requested a first floor (ie ground) apartment and got one, so we walked out of the front door and the pool was immediately in front of us.

I wouldn't say the suites are spacious - a king sized bed and en-suite on one side of living room (served the purpose, but not much room) and the room with 2 double beds and other en-suite the other side of the living room. The living/dining room with kitchen were compact and in reasonable condition.

We thought the inclusive breakfast buffet was very good and contained 2 hot items each day. It was very pleasant to sit in the courtyard area, between the pool and ornamental fountain eating breakfast.

We booked directly and got a good rate.

It would be quite a walk to DD (a couple of miles I'd say) but do-able if it wasn't too hot - I'm a wimp though and wouldn't do it! Crossroads is quite close (about 3/4 mile at a guess) but Tony Roma's, Chili's, Macaroni Grill, Sizzler and Steak 'n Shake are even closer.

HTH.

That is a nice place, and they provide a shuttle to all the parks. They have a free hot breakfast every morning. Make sure to stop by the Guest Services desk for free maps, directions, and suggestions on what to do in the area. They can sell you all the tickets that you will need for the parks too.
