I think this really depends on your family dynamics and vacation style. Personally, I would get 2 rooms and request they be connecting so you can put the little one to sleep in one room and the adults can be the other with the door ajar until you go to bed, at which point it can be closed. You get the benefit of privacy, a real bed for each couple, and 2 bathrooms. You will also be on-site so you don't have to drive or Uber, pay for parking, and it's much easier to go back to the room with the toddler if you need or want to. The studios and villas nice, but that is expensive, especially if you won't utilize the kitchen. The caveat here is that connecting rooms are a request, not a guarantee, but even though I have never requested a connecting room, every room in every hotel that I have stayed in at WDW has always been a connecting room. I believe that you are likely to get your request, especially if that is the only request that you make.
