I just heard the news that there is a tornado watch for these states tomorrow. Apparently it will hit NJ between 4-9 pm with thunder, lightning, 1 inch hail, and high winds (60 mph+) resulting in a potential tornado. Stay safe everyone.

Just got an update to the weather....

Northern NJ is on the bullseye for the most violent part of the storm. I'm heading to the store now and then getting things ready.

I'm in Vermont and we've got tornado warnings here too until 10pm tonight. The wind has been crazy today but the sky is still blue.

I hope things stay calm for everyone.

A tornado touched down briefly in our county late this afternoon, but fortunately it was two towns away from us. We were out at our church for an event, though, and it got bad fast - everything went dark, crazy windy, and sideways (strong, strong winds!). I was rehearsing in the sanctuary with our house band and saw leaves swirling through our big skylight windows - and then the power went out. It was a little unsettling, to say the least, but all's well that ends well! Stay safe, everyone - this weather is nothing to trifle with...

After all the warnings and hype, we only got a little rain. No wind of significance.

We had a much more powerful storm yesterday morning that wasn't even part of this front.

This morning it is a gorgeous day. Windows open!!!!!

What's strange is I went shopping not knowing of this and only got a little wet having forgotten umbrellas. Nothing happened on the way there or on the way home.

It looked like a nasty system on the radar though but it was moving pretty fast!
