I decided at the last minute to book the stay, park, fly package at a Buffalo airport hotel and the prices are very high for the end of October 2010.

I booked the Clarion on Transit for $99.00 for up to 7 days parking.

Most were $169.00 and up.

Any experience with the Clarion?

I have never done stay, park & fly at BUF. We just parked in the A (Orange Lot) for 9 days & with our coupon it cost us $63. Do you have an early flight?

No thought we would do a little shopping before our trip. We fly out at 4:20 p.m. with SW. Have a 6 hour drive to Buffalo from home.

For a hotel check out betterbidding and use Priceline to bid on the 3.5* in Buffalo-Amherst. You will get the Buffalo Marriott Niagara since it is the only hotel listed under the 3.5* category with priceline and the only 3.5* hotel in all 7 geographic zones in Buffalo. You just register your vehicle at the front desk for the free shuttle to the airport which is 5 miles away and they pick you up when you return. There is no limit on how long you can leave your vehicle and the great thing is you can do it even when booking through Priceline and park for free. The hotel is very nice. I got it for $55.00 last December but looks like it has gone up slightly. Recent bids look like $60.00 to $75.00 range. You are more likely to get a lower winning bid when bidding last minute usually. You can bid a total of 7 times within a 24hr timeframe because it is the only 3.5* Hotel (Zone 1) found in any of the 7 geograhic zones for Buffalo. I would start at $55.00 and increase in $5.00 increments and try again by adding zone 2 and so on.

Thanks I have been trying but my last bid was $62.00 and was rejected.

My winning bid last week was $75 for that hotel. With taxes and fees worked out to $94.

The clarion will probably end up around $110 with tax. So I think the marriott is a better deal as it seems to be a nicer hotel.

Are you sure a Priceline stay allows for you to leave your car there? I have had problems in the past with other hotels in the area telling me that you are just getting the room and nothing else.

There is absolutely no problem leaving your vehicle there. I have done it myself and we had friends who did it in September as well. I have also left my vehicle at the Marriott by Pittsburgh airport for free as well.

I am also trying the Marriot for my November 8th trip to Buffalo. What do you guys do for breakfast there?
I am currently booked with La Quinta for 82.99 plus taxes. La quinta offers continental breakfast for the 4 of us though.

Being November, I would like to avoid going offsite to eat and our flight is only at 11:30 am.
