I posted this on the Facebook Disunplugged Fan Group site, but Nicole Mancini suggested to post here, so Pete Werner would see too. ;-)
So, here it is.
STAY OUT OF THE DAMN LAKES! I just finished listening to this weeks podcast and saw that Pete's warning to "stay out of the damn lakes" will no longer be a part of the podcast. While I can understand that it would be distasteful to continue saying it after what happened to the little boy, it does sadden me because my children have grown up listening to the Podcast, and always repeat the warning to me, when we arrive at DisneyWorld, "Mom, remember what Pete always says," and we all say it Stay out of the Damn Lakes. We actually had a couple standing next to us at the airport in line for magical express. They asked what we meant by stay out of the lakes. My youngest son who is 10, said well snakes, alligators, brain eating amoebas can be in those waters and our friend Pete who lives down here always warns us on his Disney podcast, to stay out of the damn lakes. They said thank you for the warning they had no idea. So Pete, THANKS for always looking out for us. You not only kept my kids and family safe but we are sure you did others too!
