"Stay on the line to participate in a survey"....

That is what I got when I called MS today to make my 2003 vacation plans. Anyone else?

The survey was about customer service. I was wondering if the CM that answers the phone know whether or not the member on the other end was "randomly" selected to participate!!!! If so, then the CM I had today really doesn't give a hoot about her job!!

She didn't get any high ratings from me........

Usually I get very excited after making my ressies and I have that "magical" feel ...............not this time............

But, my ressies are made.........OKW here we come next August!!

Got the message a few weeks ago when making a ressie for date of arrival but was on hold for the entire lenght of a song that I wasn't in a good mood to participate in the survey so I hung up and called back later.

I stayed at OKW Labor Day weekend and Saturday I received a postcard in the mail that I had been selected, blah blah, random cross section, blah blah, etc. Anyway, I'm to log in to a certain website and rate my recent stay. I could give nothing but high scores for OKW....

I also got that same postcard from our recent stays at VWL and OKW. I gave excellent remarks on the stay and service there.

This was in response to the Customer service agent that handles your reservations..........

The first question asked if the length of stay you waited to speak to an agent was acceptable or not!! 20 minutes!! Unacceptable to me!!

I was "randomly" selected 3 days in a row last month when I called day by day to secure our reservation. Made me wonder about their selection process!

I have probably made 12 calls to MS in the last few months (wait list, DCL, new reservations), and have been randomly selected every time. But by the time I'm done with my call, I have forgotten to stay on the line every single time! Diana

I too was randomly selected. The CM was very good & helpful, however I was on hold for at least 10 to 12 minutes prior to speaking w/him. It was the first chance I had to sit, so I stayed on hold & listened to Zippity-Do-Da, et al.

I've been randomly selected 3 times, each one in connection with a CC reservation. Each time, the CM was invariably totally friendly, helpful, informed, etc. I always wondered if they knew they were being evaluated.

I received a postcard after staying at CBR in June, and responded to an e-mail survey. I had little negative to say except about a spot on the carpet. I was hoping for a little Disney "perk" for my time and trouble, but no such luck.

I think everyone gets "randomly selected"

If you notice that when you are on hold listening to the music, and the voice keeps coming on telling you to continue to hold, it then reminds you to stay on the line for the survey. To me this means that everyone is probably randomly selected, or at least 4 out of 5 are.

I too was randomly selected every day when making ressies for a 12 day visit next June. I don't mind the survey, but one day, after being on hold for about 15 min. (my longest wait of the daily calls so it wasn't too bad), something happened and I got bumped over to the survey without ever talking to MS. I had to hang up and call back (no option on the survey to report that); I would have been fuming if I hadn't been able to add my night in a Standard View, but fortunately, it was still available.

I called today for a reservation and got 'randomly' selected too.

I liked the last question, one that was for 'information only'.

How would you like to make reservations in the future?

4. Internet

I put in my preference to be able to have internet on-line booking.

In fact, even just the capability to check availability would be a plus, even if you then still had to call to make the reservation.

When I called today to make my ressies I got that same message!

Unfortunately I was so exceited about getting everything I wanted that I hung up after the transaction!

Now, about 2 hours later I had to call MS back to make a change (yes things can change around this house quickly ) and I was NOT picked at random for another survey.
