I've been assigned the same rooms several times. Twice at the BWV, twice at OKW, and twice at the BCV. I did not ask for a specific room, but for some reason, just ended up assigned to the same rooms.

We've been in the same building at OKW 20 times or more...and in the same one bedroom lock-off villa in that buliding 4 or 5 times. We have a favorite villa at OKW and always ask for it. I guess we've been lucky.

The first two trips to OKW as DVC members we were assigned the same room. Didn't request it, didn't make any requests, just ended up there by chance.

I can't remember the room number, but we've stayed in (and I've seen others post about) the larger 1BR rooms at BWV more than once. They're at the very end of the hall toward the parking lots. They're kind of part of a turret or something. I know we've stayed in them twice - probably more like 3 times on at least 2 different floors. Love that room!

I've stayed in one of those rooms also - 3123. I had heard about it and when they said the number I got all excited and said "we got the special room"! I requested it again on my next trip - we ended up in the last room next to Jellyrolls facing the canal, totally opposite end.

I've stayed in a room at BCV that had been previously mentioned. Someone had stayed in that room and was very impressed with the view. So I was so thrilled to get it. I've gotta admit the view was lovely, but I was distracted by the road noise. Recently I got another room that has no view by comparison, but it's great if you're into people-watching (I am). So when people come here to ask "what's the best room?", I'm always hesitant-what may be great for one person, may not "fit" another. I guess that's good-otherwise we'd all be fighting for the same room!

We've been assigned the same room twice in a row at VWL. It really made us feel like we were "home"!

Asking for the same room specifically is a formula to not have any requests met.

Once at OKW, I stayed in a 1-br for a Sun-Thurs stay, went to the beach for 2 days, came back for another Sun-Thurs stay, and got the same room.

OK, I know that I've seen it a hundred times (alright, only 99 but who's counting). What's the best way to request a room since we would like to get the same room at VWL that we had last year when we go this December?

We booked BWV for 6 nights before going to SSR last month, and I had remembered seeing someone post that they were given a Studio villa, that had 2 views, One, of the front of the Boardwalk (standard, but lovely as well), with the really tall oak trees and landscaping. The second, was when the front door was open, there was 2 windows right there, with a perfect view of the main pool, it also was a dedicated studio with the day bed.This was the first time we didn`t have a lock-off, and the first time @ the Boardwalk . I believe the studio # was 4085. Only negative about this studio, was the sofa bed was really worn. Needs to be redone. But the stay was wonderful!!!

We have stayed @ HHI twice and were assigned the same room for each stay. We will see if we get the same room in March.

I don't know whether my method is the "best way" but, I'm usually happy with our room assignment. I simply list my requests in order of importance...they look like this.

Non-Smoking for medical reasons.
The specific villa we prefer identified as a room number.
The specific building we prefer.
Top floor.

Then when we check-in we restate our requests. That's it...the rest is based on availability. Of course - you won't get a villa that's already occupied. The last time we got the exact villa we prefer the occupancy rate was only 80%. This worked in our favor. Still, I believe I improve the odds of getting the villa I want when I list ALL of my requests. Good luck.
