I would enjoy the savings if we stayed at RPH, but I do feel my kids ages 7 & 12 would enjoy HRH pool with the slide - they are both daredevils. How easy is it to get from RPH to HRH to swim? Is it a hassle? My hubby says to go ahead and book HRH, but I would like to use the savings for nice meals, etc.

Opinions appreciated!

The walk from the RPR to the HRH would take about 17 minutes. It's 7 minutes from the hotel to Margaritaville. Then you have to walk thru CityWalk to USF, about 5 minutes. From there it's another 5 minutes to the HRH pool entrance. You could take the shuttle bus over if you don't mind waiting for it. They have bathrooms at the HRH pool so you could walk over in regular shorts then change into swim trunks. Once you get there, you'd "feel" like part of the action because you're allowed to pool hop. It just comes down to whether you want to spend the time getting there. Nothing wrong with the RPR pool, lots of action with 2 Bball hoops and a volley ball net.

What is RPH? Is that Royal Pacific Resort?

We stayed at RPR last summer. We spent 1 afternoon at the HR pool for the slide. My dd loved the slide. The pool itself was about 1/2 the size of RPR's. You really couldn't "swim" during our visit as many people just stood in the pool drinking. Just throw a cover-up on over your suit and use the shuttle boats to get back & forth. It was easy.

Yes, RPR - I was thinking hotel instead of resort! Thanks to both of you for the advice. Do you think my kids will be missing out on the excitement of HRH if we choose RPR? They do like a lot of activity. Thanks!
