Hi,
We are staying at the BWV for a week in Oct and was wondering if Daytona would be a good day trip or should we book a night there?

We plan on hitting the beach for a few hours and touring the Speedway.

That really sounds fun, but I would go to mapquest.com and see how far away it really is first. It will give you an idea of how far it is in miles and time. Juts put in the address of BWV and then the area (cross streets would be sufficient) of the area in Daytona you want to visit, it will give you the driving directions all the way there. Hope this helps. I have never driven from Orlando to Daytona.

We did this last year from the Universal resorts. I think it was about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, maybe. We had alot of fun, but I wish we would have went on down to St. Petersburg, not much further. Apparently, it is the oldest city in the United States. I love history. Daytona was fun, though.

I-4 will take you right on out to Daytona. Should only take you about 2 hours. Have fun!

Take I4 straight to Daytona. You will enjoy it we've been there a couple times. Don't forget to drive on the beach.
Rld- the oldest city is St. Augustine north of Daytona. It's very quaint, we always stop there when we drive down. Especially pretty at Christmas.
