Stateroom location question

I have stateroom 6594 reserved on my Jan 2006 Magic cruise. It is between the midship and aft elevators. I sort of want to be near the elevators for convenience, but wondered if being near the aft elevators has disadvantages (such as more rocking/movement). I noticed there is a stateroom available near the aft elevators and was thinking of calling my TA to have mine changed. I could also call back after final payment (and cancelations) to see if I can get a room closer to mid-ship elevators.

What has been everyone's experiences?

Have stayed in all locations.. Deck 6 mid is excellent. My personal preference if aft on Deck 6 or 7. This is too be closer to the secret deck, and the FOOD for breakie!!!!! :cool1:

I've not been on Deck 6, but Deck 7 aft is GREAT!! We had 7121, and Loved it!! I can't imagine there would be a big difference between decks 6 and 7, so I say go for the one near the aft elevators if you can get it.

And mommasita...What date are you sailing? Is it the Sept. 17th Eastern?

We also stayed on deck 7, aft and loved it. But I will tell you that you can feel the movement of the ship in that area. We were in 7630, which is very aft.

secret deck, do tell!! :wizard:

The Secret Deck on deck 7 is as far AFT as you can go. It is a decent size deck, usually has several loungers out there and very few people if any. It is a nice place to go to relax and read a book and enjoy the sun.

Just wanted to add: If you think you are lost, you are not..There are brown doors with a circle window (confusing, eh), just open it up....A true haven on the ship.. Usually there are very few others, if any... :cool1: :earsgirl:

Secret Deck 7 door says Aft Overlook. The best part is that it is only 2 floors from the back entrance of Topsiders for a quick snack/drink. It is a fabulous place to hang out on sea days!!!!!

I have to tell you that I thought I was the only one who felt really confused when I found those doors and thought "Maybe this is somewhere I'm not supposed to be!" :rotfl2:
But I'm glad I opened them and walked out!!! :flower:

We were in 6598 and loved it-close to midship and aft elevators and stairs. No noise, little traffic and little movement felt (I'm a weak sailor-took meds).
Also far enough from the Laundry room to not feel the mugginess.

We were right off the aft elevators on both our cruises. We were worried that noise would carry but it didn't, and it was so convenient there because you can take the stairs or elevator directly to so many restaurants or the pool.

We chose our cabins to be close to the aft elevators for our past two trips (6116, 6620 & 6622). They're all very quiet rooms.

However I'm not sure if 6594 is close to the laundry room or not.

If I recall correctly I think the laundry room is 6588.

I changed to 6124 just off the aft elevator on port side. I am gald I made the switch. Looking at the ship, the aft elevators are close to so many things.
