Stateroom help/book with kids.

Hi, I have a cruise booked with my husband & 2 nephews (we've paid for the 4 people in 1 stateroom). Now it looks like their parents might book a stateroom as well. Can they book a stateroom that fits 4 people but at a 2 adult price (to save money) and then have the kids officially under their stateroom? Is this something that is done at the cruise port (or will they get charged more at the cruise port?) or done at guest services? I don't want to have to pay double (4 person price-since there is only 6 of us going 4 adults 2 kids). I've been on DCL 6 cruises but never with kids and not sure how this works. Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

They can book a stateroom for 2 adults, Disney does not care who sleeps where, hope this answers your question. You can also change your stateroom to the one next to theirs and have connecting rooms. There would be no extra charge as long as the stateroom category is the same.

Unless this has changed, if the kids are booked in your room, you'll have to grant their parents permission to take them off the ship without you.

Yep. This. But the form is simple. Just don’t forget to do it. And if you get the photo package make sure your reservations are linked so they get tagged for the pictures the child is in too.

The one limiter may be space in the lifeboat if the new stateroom is a different muster area. The kids would be required to muster with you.

The kids would be required to muster with the OP anyway as that is the room they are booked into. So unless the parents got a stateroom in the same muster station, they would be separated from their kids - and add to their getting to their station in the event that had to happen as someone would have to get the kids to their assigned room/station and then back to that person's assigned station.
