Does DCL put them up for you?

Or are they just sitting in your room and you decorate yourself?

Thanks,

Susy

Disney puts them up...I ordered the Bon Voyage package as a surprise for my Mom when we went on the 14 day Repo cruise in May. When we opened the door there were all our decorations....it was really cool!!!! We did have one decoration that hung from the ceiling with a suction cup and it kept falling down so we just attached it to the drapery rod.

Same here. They really do a nice job. My sister order this for us on our last cruise. It was lovely.

are the decorations worth the money? does anyone have a picture of them? thanks :)

We decorated ourselves, being budget minded. The kids and dads went up to the buffet and we tore down to the rooms. CM's were glad to let us jump the rope as they put the final cleaning touches on our room and even got in the spirit of things. We had handtowels we found in Disney character colors-embroidered before we left and hung them in the bathroom, confetti, things for the sailaway party and even teeshirts and pillowcases we had made ourselves with teeshirt transfers and goodie bags with things like character disposible cameras we found at Circuit City. It is amazing the Disney theme stuff you can find at the dollar store if you start early enough. We had a blast setting up the room, and it took no time!
Being crazy DIS planners, we had been gathering stuff for months to make the rooms a special surprise for our families and even had the door magnets in place as we "Innocently" joined our families for a fabulous buffet- they thought we were waiting in line for Palo ressies.... of course, those were done first  We are starting to gather things for the cruise in March soon Western theme this time! :jumping1:

If you go to allearsnet.com and look through Deb's West Coast cruise pictures there is a picture of my cabin with all the Happy Birthday decorations up.

This sounds great. I was hoping to do something like this too. Did you decorate more than one room? I have 4 other staterooms with relatives that I would like to surprise but wasn;'t sure if they would let me do their rooms. I am going to mail down some goodies to have in their rooms though (less for me to carry). :cool1:

Is there a website where we can order the decorations from. We're celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary on our cruise and I'd love to surprise dh and the kids! :flower:

They used to be on the Disney Cruise Line site itself. There was also a flyer in with my cruise docswhen I received them. If you used a TA they can get you more information, or if you call Disney they can get you some information.

If you go to the DCL site and look in the horizontal blue bar near the top you will see "My Disney Cruise" -- click here and then click on "My Cruise Gifts and Amenities" along the lefthand side. Check out "Stateroom Celebrations" for the decorations.

I went to the website to see the decorations.

Do they just offer what is there? I was looking for a "Happy Anniverary" type package.

What is inlcuded for the 30.00. Just the one decoration that they show?

Thanks!
