Can anyone tell me if they've used the DCL stateroom celebrations. We have a b-day while sailing and I wondered if they'd decorate the room ON her day, or if they do it before sailing. Thanx.

That is a good question...I actually did one on our last cruise as it was the DH's birthday. Only thing is...the day that we set sail was his birthday, so the room was decorated when we got there. It was really cute.
The only thing that I can think of is that the only time that they actually come to your room is in the afternoon/evening, so if they did do it on the actual day of the birthday, then it would be later in the day before she got her surprise! That might be a question for DCL. Sorry I can't help more!!

The decorations are up when you board. They are nice....but because I wanted the decorations to go up on DD's birthday, I brought them along and decorated myself.

DD was turning 13. I did the door in pink and purple (pink is her LEAST favorite color), and it got lots of attention from the little girls in the hallway. Of course, I remember that when I was 5 the 12 year old next door seemed like a princess.......it was neat seeing all the 4-7 year olds saying, "Is that YOUR door?" and wishing her a HB. Her birthday hit on formal night, and she had her first real "big girl" formal.
