So, you check in at the terminal with your credit card, right? What if you don't have a credit card? Do you have to put down a deposit toward your stateroom account? My sister is thinking about going (grown but would add on to DM and DD's stateroom). She has a credit card, but there is a very low limit on it (not the $500 DCL requires to have on your card to pre-authorize you when you board). Or will they just use my DD's card and then she can settle her own account with him? She would like to pay cash I'm sure. Anyone have this situation or know the answer? Much appreciated!

To add to the above question, if we are doing land/sea package,
and I use my credit card for my resort accout, do I have to show
then the credit card again once I get onboard, our will they already have record of it on the ship?

jvas~When you check in at your resort, you will be given your KTTW (key to the world) card. You will only have to show it in the terminal, and you will quickly be on the ship! One of the benefits of the 7 day land and sea~

Cantsitstill~I don't know the answer to your question, but I am sure one of these fantastic, smart people will soon! Take care~

She can/will be automatically on who ever put the card down for use on the ship. To get her taken off..you have to go to guest services on the ship, after boarding. I believe..she can use cash to set up her own account..or, if it is easier..just put cash down on your DD's account so his bill doesn't get out of control.

Hi you can choose to have a cash account for your stateroom which i believe is set at around $200 and they call you to pay it when you exceed or you can put money down upfront, it's probably easier to put it on the stateroom acccount on your DD's credit card and get a daily printout of charges so that she can settle up with him directly.

Thanks all - my Dad will be checking in with his credit card, but she was afraid of racking up her account against his, so she can pay daily at Guest services?

yes, she can pay at any time with cash or traveler check.

cantsitstill, I called Disney because I have my daughters friend cruising with us. She wants to pay for all her charges herself. They told me that everyone is issued a room card will get a bill at the end of the cruise.. it will have all the her charges. Then she can pay for those charges with either a credit card, or cash... Very organized and simple :Pinkbounc

That's right I forgot, it lists all charges made by which card. My son didn't having charging privelages but the shore excursion for him appeared under his name. It is very clear and simple. No worries.

Thanks everyone - once again the dis community has come through - and this will work out great for my sis!
