Stateroom 8520 on the Wonder

We stayed in Room 8520 on the Wonder in May and loved it so much we booked the same room for a 7 day cruise next year.

There were five of us - two of the three kids were on the couch/bed and pull down, while the third was in a pack n' play. It was a bit tight with the pack n' play so we put it away during the day. The verandah was great - we spent lots of time there in the evenings after the kids were asleep.

We found the room to be quiet, as was the hallway - and when docked in Castaway Cay, we were facing the main beach as a bonus.

Hope that helps!

Since we have three kids, none of which would fit in a pack n' play, where does my third child sleep? There must be another bed?

I am not sure on that one. When I've looked at the floor plans of the cabins on the DCL site, the cat 4 shows a single bed in front of the window - perhaps that is a rollaway cot? If that's the case, I would like to know whether they take it out of the room every morning or leave it in there?

1-The hide a bed sofa.
2-Flip down bunk above sofa.
3-Murphy bed parallel to veranda door.
(all this from passporter!)
My kids have decided they are trading places each night, so each gets 2 nights in each bed...not sure how we will handle the last night!
Happy cruising!
Kris

Boy, I hope you're right. What is a Murphy bed? And are you sailing before me, and can tell me your experience?

8520 does have the couch that makes into a bed, the bed (small) that comes down from the ceiling, and the twin bed (Murphy) that comes out from the wall. Picture in your head the type of ironing board that some people have that is tucked into a wall until you want to use it. You just fold it down. The room steward will fold down and prepare all the beds for you at night, usually while you are at dinner.

When that twin is pulled out of the wall, it does block the access to the verandah door, though.

Thank you everyone. I don't know why this stresses me. I guess because I want this to be the best vacation the kids every had, and well, if we aren't getting a good night's sleep, it won't be the best. Anyway, you have been very helpful.
