well we recently returned form a 10 day stay at WDW.july 7- 17th i was a bit concerned about what to excpect because of company turmoil and many posts about grumpy CM's, poor maintenance and general cleanliness of the parks.

well i am very happy to say that we did not experience any problems or see anything, well except the one overflowing trash can at Epcot, that could ever make me feel that the parks are slipping. i was always greeted by friendly and seemingly happy CM's who were always helping never seeming uninterested. amazing even in the 95+ temps we had there for a few days.

frequently observed CM's sweeping and cleaning, saw a few maintenance carts but i would rather see them fixing things then having to deal with broken items. never saw anything on any attraction that wasnt working properly. even in
Splash Mountain where i am amazed in just how much detail is in that ride.

this trip truly put me in my laughing place.

one tiny gripe though. they should add just a few more attractions to e- ride night. and maybe just a bit more lighting. not too big of a gripe here. after all we did 4 e-ride nights

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip, and that WDW is just as glorious as it ever was:jester:

I just have to say that I agree with you. We go down every 12 to 18 months and never have we seen a decline in cleanliness, maintenance, CM attitude, or the like. I'm not quite sure what all the grumbling is about, and I consider myself pretty observant and picky. I have noticed a change in the way guests act and dress over the years, not just at Disney but pretty much everywhere we go. People seem more crude, rude, and scantily dressed everytime we head out. Oh well, that's another thread now isn't it!!

I agree. I was expecting there to be lower morale among the CMs when I went last December, but I was pleasantly suprised that the company's current state is not reducing the quality of the parks too much. All the CMs I experienced were friendly and helpful as always. I didn't realy notice any changes in upkeep, but then again I'm usually terrible at noticing those kinds of things. I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Thanks for sharing with us. :)

I know that when I was there last month (has it been a month already? sob!) the parks looked great. And every cast member--from the wonderful gentleman at check in (late on a Monday night) to every security person to every ticket taker, etc. etc. was pleasant and helpful. I had a wonderful trip and I'm already thinking of my next trip.
