Ok, I'm hoping this will help someone else out!
Starwood (Sheraton, Westin, etc) currently has a best rate guarantee offer running right now, and I'm pleased to say it works in the WDW area! I wanted to get approval before posting this, and got the email letting me know it was OKed this afternoon.
Basically, if you book a non-exclusive (meaning not AAA, gov't rate, or something like that) rate on their site and find a better rate elsewhere within 24 hours, they will honor the better rate, less 10%. I did this with Sheraton Vistana Resort. I booked it on their site for $90, and found a rate of $83.90 on Hotelkingdom.com. I had to print off their form and a screenshot of the hotel kingdom rate and fax it to them for proof. So, I'm now getting a 1 BR villa at Vistana for $75.51 per night. Pretty sweet.
The other restrictions are that rooms have to be available at the better rate you find, and you have to book more than 72 hours in advance. You also must book your room through their site, so the risk is the better rate won't be available, and you'll be stuck with the higher rate and possibly a cancellation penalty. You can find all the details on their site at:

Thought I'd put the word out in case anyone else is currently making reservations. Unfortunately, if you've already made them through any of the starwood sites, it won't work--you must fax them the info within 24 hours of making the reservations.
Hope this helps someone save a little more $!
