starwars vs disney: The planning and report

So Here I go again making rezzys for disney. I seem to be the trip planner for all the trips i have been on with my famliy. We have decided to go to starwars weekend in may 22-25. I have off from school those days so a quick trip for the hubby to see starwars and for me to see disney. On the trip my hubby's friend, our godson and now my sister will be going. 3 vs 2. thats 3 starwars fans 2 disney fans. My sister asked me 2 days ago when we where going so i told her. She is also a teacher and has the same time. So she is coming and staying in the same room as my hubby and I, are we crazy. Atleast it makes it cheap.

So you may ask why did we not make rezzys yet. Well here in ny we have 6 snow days and by the begining of march we used 5 yikes so i want to wait to make sure there is no big snow storm and we loss the friday may 22.

The quest for a resort. I have been down there so many times i have been to many resorts. So i wanted my godson to pick well today it was pop all star movie and cbr. so drum role and it will be all star movie. the force is with us. so next week when the tax return comes(which is another reason why no bookey yet then bam)

so my research i go on pretty much everyday to check prices for flights(what a pain) i go to disney website to check starwars info. and check to see if there are any deals. O and my b-day will be down there so that is a plus.

so i will post soon with the details of what is to come and what i have been planning.

so i have been checking on flights they are like a yo-yo up and down this day is cheaper then it goes up the next day. grrr.

I have talked to the hubby about where to eat so here is the idea we have. we will be eating at sci-fi, Le Cellier Steakhouse, The garden grill. if we can not get in to Le cellier then liberty tree tavern.

We have never done sci-fi so i think it will be interesting.

OK here we go it is final we did it we booked. We could not use the code.

So things have change. My sis and her friend are coming too. We booked at the pop with the magic your way plus dining and a 3 day hopper.

I was on optimum and here is a disney on demand where you can have an agent call you. So i did it to see. It was great the cast member was awesome..

My sis's friend has ms and has been really down and we all decided to take her. she is so excited i cant wait to see her face.

Ok let me tell you alittle about me and my family.

I have been going to disney world since 1978 with my grandparents. I feel in love at first site. I can never get old of disney. I have been for pretty much every new park opening the year they open not the day. Been there when new rides open. I found the man of my dreams in high school and finally married him last year. that is a nother story. I made him a disney fan as well.

DH: big starwars fan. we came in to starwars music and all the guys had fx lightsabers up for us to go under at our reception after the wedding. Well he found out about starwars weekend at disney so i could not say no i love disney.

So we said lets go this year. Then my sister said that she wanted to go. now she is not as big a fan as me. everytime we go down she says thats the last time. well we went at christmas and she said the famous words i will never go again and here she is going with us.

So as i sit here on easter wonder what to do i find myself here on the disboard. Why you say? Im not sure. Dh is in the bedroom on world of warcraft and i am out here about to go on. It is our annvi. we had ham mash potatoes and carrots. the one year old cake is waiting for us later.

ok back to business. I have been checking each day to see who will be at star wars weekend. nothing yet. nore have i recieved anything from disney. just the email.

we have started the packing.

yes i like to have everything in order way before
sneakers, crocs, are a defaintly on the list.

we are only bring what we can on the plane with us no checking bags. I only have one concern my hair is long and i need my shampoo and conditioner. and only being able to bring small ones on the plane is going to be a challenge. we shall see how i figure out how to bring enought for the 4 days.

O my dh found a sweat shirt that looks like a storm trooper. it was on chuck. i looked it up and it is 98 dollors yikes

My dh had a great idea. at the pop in the store they have all we need so we are picking up toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and deoderante in the store.

so 3 wonderful days at disney and here is the budget


we have the meal plan so for the tips i figure on about 16 dollars for 3 days. i figured this out by what i payed in december with a party more then 6.

2 mugs at about 14 dollars

2 starwars teeshirts at about 25 dollors

breakfast for 3 days at 17 dollars

2 starwars weekend pins at 10 dollars each

i will be bring about 250 dollars with us to disney.

prices are around about not right price.

Today was my only day to pack. I went yesterday to wallymart to pick up the small things.

new underwear
socks for both of us
sd card
new video tapes
batteries(rechargeable)
travel shampoo conditioner ect. the women at wallymart was very nice and helped with what i can take on the plane.
it was so expensive. over 80 dollars for the small stuff.

i was going to use one bag for clothes for us but it did not work so i had to put them in two bags for carry on. we do not check bags after an experience where our luggage was lost.
