I'm really freaking out . . .I thought I would be fine, but as the time grows nearer I'm starting to get nervous . . .I leave work at 2:30 and my appointment is at 3pm . . .

I'm trying to think about happy things . . .but its not helping . . .

It's real normal to be nervous about this type of work but you'll do just fine. Tell the surgeon how scared you are and don't worry! Do come post how it all went when you can. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

I had a shot and laughing gas, and all was fine.

Modern drugs are great!

They gave me gas, and an IV. Next thing I knew, they were
trying to get me to sit in the wheelchair.

Be sure to get you some ice packs and use them. Really helps!

You'll do fine.

PD is on its way!

I had one removed last year- I was in horrible pain and very swolen before they did it, but I didn't need a single pain pill afterwards! There were only a few seconds during the removal where it really hurt- not bad at all.

OK, so you're already gone and won't see this until it's all over, BUT, if my DH could have his removed, anyone can.

The only thing his cousin (our dentist) told him was to not talk to me for several hours after, because he might say things he wouldn't want for me to know. Like I don't already know everything about him... and I still love him... So, all he would do afterwards, and for about 4 hours later was give me a thumbs up. How do you feel? (Thumbs up.) Does it hurt? (Thumbs down.) Do you want to watch TV? (Thumbs up.) You get the picture. He was supposed to take the next day off from work, but I was lucky that I got him to stay home for the rest of that day.

I hope everything went okay for you. I remember going through that. When I got there he said that he wanted to take two on one side out and then I would come back later for the other two. I was so nervous about that one trip that I just didn't think I could go again so I told him it was all or nothing so he took out all four. I had heard horror stories but I did very well with them. I was back at work the next day.
