Tuesday 4/13
Today we start with Jamal and Erika at the hotel waking up. It is a beautiful view from their room.
Rain gets a phone call (I think it was Rana) asking her if she still wants to make extra money and she says yes, Rana says that a Mary Kay rep will be coming by that night to help her set up a Mary Kay party.
Jamal and Erika meet Rana for breakfast and they play the what if game while they eat. Questions like, what if Jamal got a job playing football overseas and what if one of you wants to wait to have kids.
Someone from Tennessee calls to tell Susan that they have no record of a marriage. Susan is telling Lynnell in the kitchen about it and Lynnell asks if she had a ring and Susan says yes and Lynnell asks her if it really matters if they were married. They went to commercial, no answer from Susan.
Morning meeting- Rana announces Erikas engagement. Everyone has to way in with their advice. A lot of live together first advice.
Amy dyed her hair a bright clown red. (Just out of my own nosiness (real word?), I wish she would say why at 27 years of age she wants such an un-natural color. I also dye my hair, but her color I think is more acceptable on teens. And dont they think this could keep her from certain jobs? I just wish they would touch on this.
Rana asks Susan how it is going. She is very down and says she doesnt really like the tone of voice the PI uses with her sometimes. They showed the tape where he says he has disconcerting news and says she might want someone with her. (gee, I thought he was trying to be sensitive). Rana said that when Susan meets with him tonight that she needs to let him know how she feels. Susan says in confessional that she hopes he has some info for her but she doesnt want to meet with him. (Sorry, but I am not getting this).
The PI calls Susan and says he wants to see where she is and tell her where he is. He asks her if she still believes that they were married and she tells him that she has no reason yet not to believe that. She says her aunt told her she saw the document. Susan in confessional saying that his tone is very business like and that he keeps insinuating that they werent married. At the end of the call he asks her if she is smiling on the other end and she has this pouting face saying, oh yeah. End of phone call. ( I like Susan, but I think the reality of it all is that she does not want to face the fact that she may have been lied to and she is projecting that on the PI instead of realizing that this possibility is just upsetting to her. And that is normal! Oops, sorry, for a sec I thought I was Dr. Phil.)
Rana takes Erika to try on wedding gowns, just for the experience and to make her engagement seem more real. Rana says that she wants to make sure that Erika will still keep her individuality when she becomes Jamals wife.
Rains daughter Symone calls in tears wanting to talk to her mom. Rain is not home and Amy talks to her for a sec. But not details as to why Symone is crying.
Susan calls Rhonda and asks if she can take someone with her to her meeting with the PI. After some thought Rhonda says she can have someone go with her, but they cant go in the office with her. Susan in confessional saying again how she doesnt like the way he talks to her. (am I blind? Feedback here people, I truly dont see it. I see business-like all the way, I dont see condescending or anything).
Rain gets home and calls her family. The girls are just having a bad day, Javon forgot her homework and Symone got in trouble at school and Grandma is tired. They want her to come home. Poor Rain, this really hurt her heart. She tells them that she is too close to quit and all she has left to do is get an apartment.
Amy goes with Susan to her meeting with the PI. Susan goes in office and Amy stays out in lobby. Big laugh of the day is they show Amy in the lobby laying on the floor with her ear to the crack under the door. She spends the whole 2 hours like that!!!! Very funny. Susan and PI makes phone calls to several Santa Cruz homes with no luck but one woman gave her a man to call that knew a lot about the Santa Cruz families. They called Melvin again with no luck. Oh and Susan said nothing about his attitude to him because he was polite (as he always is). I am curious to see if Amy says anything. Susan is there from 8pm til 10pm and they decide to meet again tomorrow.
Rana meets with Rain and shows her an apartment ad for Evanston but Rain is working at the Chicago store so this is too far. Also the Mary Kay woman had to cancel. But Rain refuses to get down and is keeping a stiff upper lip.
Susan is with PI and he says he wants to talk to her for a second. He tells her that he realizes that there are severe highs and lows and that its really hard when you think you have a lead and it turns into a brick wall. He knows that they both get frustrated and that this is tough, but they will just keep going. She tells him how much she appreciates all his work and that she will have Granny make him up some fudge, cause she is the best at it. (Well, she put him in his place!!!! Ha ha)
Wed. preview-
They announce again about the 7th roommate and Lynell and Hailey take a road trip and you see them screaming at each other and Hailey gets out of the van. Then they are in session with Rhonda and Hailey has a startling revelation.
