We are going to have 3 day park hoppers, probably from the Citypass though not final on that yet. It is looking like we are driving to Anaheim from San Diego on a Sunday morning in April. Since we will be checking out on Thursday and need to fit Universal in the trip, I'm wondering what the best use of the 3 day tickets will be. Should we start mid-day? On a Sunday? oh I am shuddering at the thought but would that make sense? To book a lunch or dinner in the park and do whatever we could do, maybe see F! or WOC that first night? Then we'd have 2 full days to use. Or would it make more sense to not go into the parks on Sunday, and save the 3rd day for the morning on Thursday? Help? Ideas? We have three boys, not planning on any breakfasts in the park so any meals we do would be lunches or dinners. (which I'm also looking for suggestions for!)

You might want to make sure all the entertainment offerings during April perform on the weekdays. Perhaps that Sunday might be the only day to watch the fireworks.

The schedule for our dates is out so I know for sure now all of the shows are running every night we are there. We have three day hoppers and 1 day at Universal, will need to do Universal on a Mon or Weds. We are getting into Anaheim from San Diego around noon on Sunday and leaving Thursday morning. To use the MM I know we need to to DL on Tuesday. We have decided to do the picnic for WOC and make reservations for Big Thunder BBQ. So I was thinking we'd do the picnic and plan WOC for Sunday night but I am still very nervous about the crowd levels on a Sunday. I'd love to know if ya'll recommend just winging it in DCA Sunday afternoon and saving planned activities for Mon-Tues?
This is my tentative plan:
Sunday- drive from SD, hotel, DCA, WOC
Monday- DCA, hotel, DLR, F!/Fireworks
Tuesday- DLR MM, BTBBQ, hotel, DTD or F!/Fireworks if didn't do Mon
Wednesday- Universal
Thursday- back to SD

We are early risers and love our midday hotel breaks for the pool/catnaps so I planned a hotel break in our Disney days. Any expert feedback would be appreciated! I checked touringplans and Tuesday is the least busy day at DLR by .1 LOL.

I would switch your Monday and Wednesday because I always prefer to end with Disney. Other than that, your plan looks good IMO. Hope you have a great time!

I'd think twice before doing fireworks/Fantasmic one night and trying to do MM the next morning. Especially later in the trip. You will be very very tired. If you switch your Monday and Wednesday, then it wouldn't be a problem. :thumbsup2

OK I think you are right we are going to switch and do Universal on Monday. I'm also reconsidering WOC on Sunday and thinking a fun lunch or dinner at Goofy's instead and some park time and making WOC our last night activity if we do it.
