Starting January, 2010....free day @ Disney

I just saw that! It is so cool! I think they're continuing the free birthday admission too...time it right and you can go free for 2 days!

Nope, if you read the FAQ, the free birthday promotion ends 12/31/09.

Disney needs to fire the marketing genius who has them convinced that by giving things away, they will fill the parks with people who will spend scads of money on overpriced merchandise and bad food. It's not working.

I will gladly take those free admission days and NOT spend my money on their bad food or overpriced merchandise...I hope its a long time before they realize that it aint gonna make them any money!!

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm not saying I wouldn't take advantage of their stupidity. From a business perspective, it's not working. I don't know how many quarters they will have to absorb a loss before they realize it.

Well maybe it'll work , maybe it won't,,but in my little pea brain I can't figure out why in the second worst economy in MY life time is Disney doubling the size of fantasyland ??? I mean,,if it's twice the size and I STILL can't afford to go, then I STILL can't afford to go ! Heres a hint to draw in customers ,,
LOWER YOUR FRIGG'N TICKET PRICES !!!
but you know darn good and well that Disney will raise the prices AGAIN just for that !

Preach it , brother man!!!!

Frank...did you & D get the certificates I sent in email?

I just thought of something. Disney may even get a tax writeoff on these tickets because of the volunteering aspect.

Makes sense - charitable donation. Perhaps it is brilliance on their part - they get a tax deduction and hopefully everybody will feel so good about getting into a park for free that they will drop a wad of cash on overpriced chotchkies.

DISNEY DEFINATELY NEEDS SOMETHING NEW. With HARRY POTTER opening at Universal, they need to step up to the plate.

OPEN THE POOL AT RIVER COUNTRY. FREE:::::::: OPEN UP DISCOVERY ISLAND there has to be something they can do with it. Come on DISNEY use your imagination.

DISNEY is as much for adults as for children, Actually we are grown ups that never grew up.

Just call us PETER PANS KIDS:grouphug::bride::bride::bride::bride:

If you get a day for community service I should go free for life! Nice perk I sent the link to our Junior League President!

Because now is the time to invest. Construction costs, material, labor, It's at an all time low! Disney has the capital, why not do it when the economy is at a low. Timing was right for the Dis!:thumbsup2

It has always been my opinion that Disney is for adults ! :thumbsup2
I mean think about it,,when was the last time kids paid for every thing at Disney ??
And when was the last time you saw a adult being dragged thru a park by the hand screaming and cry'n ??
Okay, except for that time I didn't get my way at the Magic Kingdom.
